What is Color the Look?

Color the Look is a fashion coloring app for iPad and iPhone — a modern, grown-up take on the coloring book. Instead of mandalas or animals, you color hand-drawn editorial outfit illustrations: street style looks with sequins, crochet, cargos, mesh, lace and glossy little bags. Each finished look is saved to your personal Lookbook so you can build your own styled gallery over time.

How does the coloring actually work?

Every outfit opens as clean black-and-white line art. You pick a color palette, then fill the tee, skirt, jacket, bag and accessories with Apple Pencil or your finger. Zoom in for tiny details like sequins and lace, undo any stroke, and when you are happy, save the look or share it. It is designed to feel calm and tactile, not fiddly.

Can I use Apple Pencil?

Yes. Color the Look is built for Apple Pencil on iPad — pressure and precision make coloring textures like sequins, denim and lace genuinely satisfying. It also works beautifully with just your finger — including on iPhone — if you do not have a Pencil.

Do I need an iPad?

Not necessarily — Color the Look works on iPhone too. But it's really made for iPad: the bigger canvas and Apple Pencil make coloring details like sequins, denim and lace far more satisfying, so that's where it shines. It runs on iOS and iPadOS 17 or later.

Do I need to be good at drawing?

Not at all. The illustrations are already drawn for you, so there is no sketching, no blank-page pressure and no art skills required. You simply choose colors and fill the look — if you can tap and drag, you can make something beautiful.

Is Color the Look relaxing?

That is the whole point. It is a quiet, mindful five-minute ritual — no timers, no scores, no noisy game energy. Coloring fashion looks is a gentle way to unwind, take a screen break that still feels creative, and make your day a little prettier.

Is it free, and what is Color the Look+?

You can start for free with a set of starter looks. Color the Look+ is the subscription that unlocks every themed collection, new weekly drops, premium color palettes and your full Lookbook. You can manage or cancel a subscription anytime in your Apple account settings.

Can I save and share my finished looks?

Yes. Every colored outfit is saved to your in-app Lookbook, and you can export a finished look to share it in your group chat, on Instagram or Pinterest, or keep it as your own little style diary.

When do new looks and collections arrive?

New themed collections drop on a weekly rhythm, starting with The Summer Edit and followed by Dress Code, Sport Mode and more. There is always a fresh reason to come back and color.
